Here are some tips:
If you book a flight with a layover, please pay close attention to the layover times. While no one wants to sit around the airport for hours, you also don’t want to miss your layover because of a short connection. I suggest choosing a schedule that has at least 1.5 hours on the way to your destination. On your way home, I suggest at least 2 hours to give extra time to get through immigration.
For your return flight, you will need to be at the airport 2-3 hours early, so make sure your departure time is 12:30pm or later if you are using the provided airport shuttle.
Some airlines provide tickets that can be changed or canceled without a fee. This costs more upfront but can be helpful in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
